The Break the Fake Movement (BTFM) is a SEC-registered local civil society organization that aims to implement a media and information literacy (MIL) strategy and support UNESCO’s efforts in enabling MIL competencies across the Southeast Asian region through leadership development and different initiatives.
Since 2017, Break the Fake Movement has launched various initiatives in the Philippines and neighboring countries in Southeast Asia through it’s four key priority areas:

Our Programs
We worked with partners and advocates from different sectors to form a stronger,
more unified front against disinformation.
An initiative of the ASEAN Foundation with support from Goolge.org that aims to make AI Literacy accessible.
The programme fosters ASEAN awareness and equips youth with data analytics and modern skills for digital success.
A micro-influencer-led campaign helped almost 500 creators fact-check using toolkits, expert guidance, networking, and resources.

youth through Digital Literacy programs to combat disinformation in the country.
